Depp to take over Ledger’s role

Johnny Depp has reportedly asked to take over Heath Ledger’s role in fantasy film ‘The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus’

After the ‘Brokeback Mountain’ star past away the film where he had the lead role has put on hold.

The movie was less than two months form completion and the director of the movie Terry Gilliam wants to film the rest of the movie with Johnny Depp in the lead role, reported The Sun.

A source says, “There is a point in the film when Heath falls through a magic mirror. He could change into another character after that and that is where Johnny would come in.”

The source added, “It’s a weird, fantasy, time-travel movie so Heath’s character could easily change appearance. It would be a poignant moment. Johnny’s not working at the moment so everyone is praying he will do it.”
